3rd ANNUAL WEST STREET ART FESTIVAL

Join us for our third annual celebration of art! This day of creative fun features indoor and outdoor art-based activities, performances, vendors, food trucks, and refreshments. Festival highlights include fun and resourceful giveaways, creative activities through local partnerships, and artful commissions for local and emerging artists. Not only does West Street shine a light on the museum’s continued efforts to support local and emerging artists, but this festival provides a platform for artists and community-driven organizations to extend outreach and awareness.

Cityfest Arts Work is a youth apprenticeship program under Cityfest, Inc., a nonprofit purposed to improve the quality of life for Wilmington citizens primarily through cultural and arts programming; promoting economic development; promoting City life; and all other charitable purposes. Performance emcees are a Cityfest Arts Work graduate and a current participant of the apprenticeship program.

Discover Space: OUTSIDE IN | Immersive installation by Leanna Bacani
This installation creates a hyperreal experience through organic shapes and textures inspired by the Christina River on the Riverfront. The space will become a changing and developing ecosystem that will allow visitors to PLAY indoors. This installation will be on view at The Delaware Contemporary through May 2023!

Network Connect: Race Kits

everse the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences. These kits include strategies and therapeutic tools for coping with anxiety.
Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence will supply supplemental materials and resources about gun safety.

A Healthy Lifestyle juicing demonstration by Riverfront neighbor, The Juice Joint

Live Painting by local artist William "Brian" Mills
See an artist in action! Visitors will have a chance to see Brian’s process through a collaborative painting.

  • Take exit 6 for DE-4 E / Maryland Ave toward MLK Jr Boulevard

  • Turn right onto DE-4 E / Maryland Ave
