Studios@ artist, Jenna Lucente, facilitates these informal figure drawing sessions starting with quick sketch warm-ups and ending with 2-3 longer poses. Open Figure Drawing is a great environment for people getting started with the figure as well as experienced artists looking to advance their skills.

Instructed by artist and educator Jen Polillo, this class will introduce you to basic principles and techniques to successfully draw the figure. The instructor will demonstrate gesture drawing, approaches to the five minute pose, strategies for figure drawing, and other approaches. This class is ideal for artists at the beginner level for the figure but some basic drawing experience is helpful.

This program welcomes beginners and those familiar with ceramics to our clay-making workshops. Our teaching artists specialize in each building technique and will introduce you to the medium and language of clay. In each session, you will learn clay-building techniques, finish a piece, and have the opportunity to under-glaze it. You may also attend a Glazing Session ADD-ON to add additional details.

If you do not choose to glaze it, TDC will fire it with a clear gloss glaze. Once it’s cooled, you can pick up your piece at the front desk!
