Kim Canfield

The Delaware Contemporary is pleased to host the 2022 University of  Delaware Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition. Each year, this capstone  exhibition leads MFA candidates through their professional transition after two years of experimenting and developing formal studio practices within the supportive space of graduate school. 

Mariesa Beneventano is a commercial and fine art photographer traveling from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Newark, Delaware.  She combines her passion for portraiture with her love for technology to create clear, narrative-based photographs. Currently, she is enrolled at The University of Delaware on a full scholarship, completing her Masters of Fine Arts degree in Photography.

Kim Canfield is a figurative sculptor and ceramist who creates work that explores the impact of the mind on the human body. She resides in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. She received her BFA in Studio Arts from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and her MFA from The University of Delaware in 2022. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including WIRWIR in Berlin, Germany, NCECA, Baltimore Clayworks, West Chester University, The University of Delaware, The Clay Studio, and at the Art Trust in West Chester, PA.
