Lauren E. Peters

Utilizing self-portraiture to examine the complexity of identity, Lauren E. Peters is a nationally exhibiting artist based in Wilmington, Delaware. Vibrant color, texture, and printed fabrics are all components of her work that speak to how we perceive the person beneath the clothing, specifically their gender and our conceptualization of the Feminine. Peters curated the 2020 exhibition "Appearances" at The Delaware Contemporary, with 16 other artists creating their own version of one of her self-portraits in a range of media, and continues to expand the world in which her paintings exist.

Samara Weaver

Samara's fascination with materiality has led to her artistic exploration of various materials; exploring texture, color and perspective. She combines large numbers of small, often simple elements, into multi-faceted compositions, gaining complexity and space from their combination.
