"Scenes from recent travels to Italy where I savored the light, the art, the duomos, the energy-fast and slow, and the juxtaposition between the very old and now. Travel is a curious portal where one can transport themselves to a whole new surrounding, opening the gate to the uncomfortable and fascinating unknown. It makes me pay attention, heightens my senses, and tests my limits. I find myself hoarding experiences and memories, packing them away in my mind. But, all the while, what really happens is through new adventures and friends, I'm learning more about myself, and reminding myself of the way that I inevitably am or could be-strangely returning me more home than home."
