ON MADISON: SHOWCASING OUR OWN
Group Exhibition
Opening Reception: August 3, 2018 from 5 - 9 during Art Loop
For 40 years The Delaware Contemporary has upheld its commitment to bring to the community the most innovative expressions of art. At the epicenter of what we do stands a stolid group of staff who work tirelessly to create exciting exhibitions, education programming, special events, deliver our marketing, manage our website, keep the building secure, or welcome visitors to the galleries. In the celebration of its Ruby Jubilee 40th anniversary, The Delaware Contemporary, situated at the corner of South Madison and South West Streets for the past 18 years, will showcase the artistic talents of its staff in the Avery E. Draper Gallery, the heart of the museum.
Our corps of staff are not only leading pedagogues, designers, and marketing strategists, but also distinguished visual artists. This exhibition offers visitors a wide variety of nuanced and intriguing visual experiences in various media and processes such as photography, welding, painting, fiber arts, and printmaking. Nine participating staff includes Paul Andreas, Jillian Decker, Joseph Gonzales, Morgan Joseph Hamilton, Tatiana Michels, Meagan Mika, Jennifer Polillo, Molly Walker, and Courtney Widdoes. 100% of the proceeds of works available for sale will go back to the museum’s exhibition and education programming.
