HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR PORTFOLIO REVIEW

As a service to artists in our community, we invite you to a fun, "speed date" style Curatorial Portfolio Review. The style of this review will offer multiple opinions by members of the Curatorial Department in a quick progression. You will gain new perspectives on your work to improve your professional development.

HOW TO PREPARE
Be prepared to discuss your work, process, vision, and ask questions.

WHAT TO BRING
Prepare a concise portfolio consisting of artist statement, brief biography, and 5 - 6 examples of your work. Work can be presented in high resolution digital images (on a thumb drive or on a lap top) or physical pieces of manageable sizes.

WHAT TO EXPECT
1) Feedback on what a curator looks for when considering artwork for exhibitions.
2) Expect to share your vision and your processes with the reviewer.
3) Expect to answer questions about your portfolio.

Participation in the Portfolio Review is not mandatory to submit to the Friends Juried Group or Solo shows; however, submission to the Friends’ shows requires membership. Become a Friend today!

Dates subject to change.
